Middle Size League: Call for Participation | RoboCup 2026

The RoboCup 2026 Middle Size League Organizing Committee invites teams to participate in the 2026 RoboCup MSL World Championships, to be held in Incheon, South Korea. Teams interested in competing are requested to pre-register and follow the procedures outlined below.
1. Pre-registration
For pre-registration, teams must send an email to rc-msl-oc@lists.robocup.org and liufei@caa.org.cn containing the following information:
Team name
URL of the team’s homepage
Name of the team leader
Email address of the team or team leader
Affiliation
Country
Link to the qualification materials
Teams are also encouraged to submit additional information for publication on the MSL website (https://msl.robocup.org/teams). The following items are optional:
Team logo
Team profile (maximum 150 words)
Main research topics (up to 6 topics)
2. Qualification Materials
In accordance with the competition rules, parts of the qualification materials will contribute to the final score of the Scientific Challenge. By the time of pre-registration, the following materials must be prepared:
a) A Team Description Paper (TDP) describing the team’s main innovations or scientific contributions. The TDP must not exceed 8 pages and must follow the LNCS format: http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0
b) A list of five scientific papers published by the team in the last five years related to RoboCup, including abstracts and complete references (only the first five will be considered if more are submitted).
c) A list of results and awards obtained by the team in the last three years.
d) A video demonstrating the capabilities of the team’s robots (maximum duration: 60 seconds).
e) A list of the team’s contributions to the RoboCup MSL community.
f) A declaration indicating whether the team will participate as part of a mixed team.
g) A mechanical and electrical description, including a software flow chart.
h) A list of MAC addresses used by the team, with explicit identification of those used for wireless communication and their purpose (robot or development computer). All other MAC addresses will be blocked. Updates are allowed until June 23, 2026.
i) A list of the size and weight of each robot type:

Weight (kg)
Updates are allowed until June 23, 2026.
To be eligible for participation, teams must, at a minimum:
Demonstrate basic game actions in the video
Submit a valid Team Description Paper
Achieve at least 50 points in the overall qualification evaluation

3. Important Dates
- February 28, 2026 — Deadline for pre-registration and submission of qualification materials
- March 15, 2026 — Announcement of qualified teams
