RoboCup Humanoid Robot Program Update

RoboCup Federation is pleased to share important updates regarding the RoboCup Humanoid Robot Program, introducing new humanoid platforms, revised participation conditions, and enhanced support for teams preparing for RoboCup 2026.
New Platforms Announced
Through new agreements with leading manufacturers Unitree and Booster, the program now offers additional platform options:
- Booster is launching the K1 RoboCup Edition
- Unitree is introducing the R1 robot to its product lineup
These updates also include revised pricing and conditions for existing platforms.
Simplified Participation Process
To make participation more accessible:
Existing RoboCup Soccer teams (including Soccer Simulation) may now order robots directly from the manufacturers
New teams are invited to apply through the RoboCup Humanoid Robot Program via the official website
To apply, teams simply need to visit robotprogram.robocup.org, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click “Apply.”
Special Robot Pool for RoboCup 2026
In preparation for RoboCup 2026, Booster will provide a dedicated pool of humanoid robots to further support competing teams:
Teams bringing two K1 robots may receive up to three additional robots from a pool of 12 K1 units
Teams bringing one T1 robot may receive up to two additional robots from a pool of eight T1 units
Looking Ahead
