RoboCup Mexican Open

The Mexican Robotics Tournament has been organized annually by the Mexican Robotics
Federation (FMR) since 2008 in collaboration with some of the most important higher
education and research institutions in the country, with the aim to promote research,
development and education in robotics and artificial intelligence.
In addition to several Robocup Leagues, the Mexican Robotics Tournament also
includes leagues related to the IEEE Latin American Robotics Competition and leagues
promoted by the FMR. In this 2025 edition, the Universidad Autónoma
Metropolitana-Iztapalapa in Mexico City will host the event.
Robocup Mexican Open will serve as training for RoboCup Major leagues and as a qualification stage for RoboCup Junior teams to join RoboCup 2025 in Brazil.
Eduardo Vazquez will be the Local Chair and he is a full-time professor at the
Division of Basic Sciences and Engineering at the Metropolitan Autonomous University. José
Martínez-Carranza is a full-time researcher at the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics
and Electronics and he is currently the President of the Board of Directors of the Mexican
Robotics Federation.
