The Robotics Portuguese Open (PRO-2019) took place between April 24th and 28th at Gondomar, Porto. This competition, annually organized since 2001 always in different cities, provides an excellent stage for promoting some of the best technology transfer and research results both from Portuguese and international robotic entities and schools.

On the junior side, the PRO-2019 acts also as a pre-qualification tournament for the RoboCup world event (OnStage; ALL TOGETHER, Search&Rescue, Simulated Search&Rescue and both soccer leagues). On the senior side, the Robotics Portuguese Open includes international RoboCup events such as 3D simulation and Middle Size League. It also includes, open, non Robocup competitions, such as FreeBots, Robot@Factory and Autonomous Driving. It also includes international RoboCup events such as 3D simulation and Middle Size League.

In these two international RoboCup Major competitions, magmaOffenburg managed to win the 3D simulation. In the middle size league, which acts as the European preparation tournament for the Sydney event, five teams from Portugal and the Netherlands presented robots with relevant scientific and technical evolutions. The MSL tournament was won by CAMBADA, that beat 2-1 in the final the current world Champions, TechUnited (Eindhoven).

This event has been organized together with ICARSC 2019, the "19th IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions".
